Hungy Bungy is a custom 35’ Boston Whaler express sportfish with twin Suzuki 350hp outboards. HB sports state of the art electronics including Garmin HD radar, GPS/chart plotter, high power CHIRP sonar/fishfinder, autopilot and a bumpin' stereo system. She's outfitted with high quality fishing gear, 80 gallon livewell, insulated below deck fish-boxes and loads of cooler space. HB has a well equipped cabin with a full galley, enclosed v-berth, convertible dinette, and walk-in head including a toilet and shower. All this on the legendary unsinkable Boston Whaler hull! Big enough to cruise in comfort, small enough to pull up on the beach. Hungy Bungy has a large enclosure to keep you dry and comfortable on any inshore or offshore trip, rain or shine.
Pricing for trips on HUNGY BUNGY (excluding fuel)
*Pricing includes up to 4 guests, plus $25 for each additional person. Non-fishing trips can have more passengers, but 8 passenger max for offshore fishing.*
Mini-session (4hrs) - $700 plus fuel
Half-day (5hrs) - $775 plus fuel
Strike mission (6hrs) - $850 plus fuel
Full-day (8hrs) - $1000 plus fuel

*To make these trips as affordable as possible, you pay for the fuel burned and not a penny more. This gives us the flexibility to customize your trip to balance your desires with your budget. Hungy Bungy is equipped with a fuel management computer, which tells us how many gallons were burned, fuel consumption rates, etc. We require a $200 fuel deposit paid in advance, which is applied to your fuel tab on the trip. Please see examples below for estimated fuel burn on some of our popular trips...
*All trips include Captain, boat, gear and coolers with ice. Trips do NOT include food and booze, but we're happy to help arrange this. In Bocas Town, some great options for to go food are Super Gourmet and JJ's at Bocas Blended.
Your safety is priority number one. The Captain reserves the right to cancel within 24 hours due to weather and sea conditions (and we'll refund your deposit). If the captain determines the conditions are safe and you decide to cancel within 10 days, you'll loose your deposit.
FUEL BURN:
Hungy Bungy burns 2.5-4 gallons per hour trolling speed (5-8knots) and 38 gallons per hour at s 28knot cruise speed. Said another way, that's 1.75mpg @ troll & .70mpg @ cruise. Top speed is 42 knots, almost 50mph! Current fuel price as of January, 2025 is $4.55/gallon.
So go slow, soak in the sights and save money. Or explore the far ends of the archipelago, get on the remote seldom fished spots, and tell your wallet, "I'm on vacation!".
-Typical full-day trip with offshore fishing on the best zones and a snorkel/spearfishing stop at/near secret spot 84 burns $330-390 fuel.
-Typical full-day trip fishing closer nearshore banks split up by a lunch break/island exploration on Zapatillas burns $220-300 fuel.
-Typical half-day trip with inshore/coastal fishing and a stop for lunch/cocktails at the Blue Coconut burns $150-225 fuel.
-Go big on a full-day trip to Escudo de Veraguas and plan to spend $600+ in fuel. (1.5-2.5hr drive at cruise speed)
-Or take it slow, troll lines and enjoy your beverage. We catch fish at 2-3.5 gallons per hour. This means we can troll all day on less than $150 in fuel, or spend time at the cool spots snorkeling and bonfiring and burn less than $100.
**Why isn't fuel included with one simple flat rate price? Because that price would need to be $1,800 for a full-day to cover the running costs of the few groups who don't care about price and want to go super fast around the whole archipelago. The average group saves $450 on this flexible fuel plan. We're happy to provide a fuel estimate in advance for the route we decide on, which will be very accurate if we stick to the plan.
