PANTERA

PANTERA is custom built in Panama specifically for what we do...  She is a 27' Eduardoño Corvina design panga with a deep-V hull and 2024 Suzuki 140hp outboard. She's super fast to get you to the far off spots without wasting the day. Pantera has flush decks, a center console, massive insulated fishbox & lounge chair forward, T-top with enclosure, outriggers, 35 gallon live-well under the gimbaled fighting chair seat aft, bumping stereo system, Yeti cooler for frosty brews, USB charger for the phone (bring your own cord), and more. The top notch Garmin electronics package helps put us on the fish with 2 touchscreen MFDs/chartplotters, 3 x CHIRP sonar transducers and HD Phantom Radar. She's safe, comfortable, and plenty capable for offshore trips.

Pantera is the best way to see Escudo de Veraguas on a panga day-trip with a professional captain and the safety gear necessary for far off places. Fish offshore along the way, snorkel/spearfish the best reef spots, and soak in a tour around the most beautiful island in the Caribbean.

As with Hungy Bungy, trips on Pantera can include sightseeing, snorkeling/spearfishing, and all the other aquatic adventures we offer.

Pricing for trips on PANTERA (fuel included):

All trips are customized to each group's interests, desires and preferences. Below you'll find prices by duration, or you can choose from some of our most popular "PRE-PLANNED" routes at the bottom of this page

*Full-day (8hrs):  $815 -  include multiple adventures/activities or more time with each
*Strike-mission (6hrs):  $665  - shortest option to include both fishing & snorkeling at the best spots
*Extended Strike-mission (7hrs):  $740  -  healthy combo of fishing and adventure
Mini-session (4hrs) - $515 -  closer spots only for fish/dive, or non-fishing high speed secret spot tour
Escudo trips - inquire for pricing, as each trip is tailored to the adventures you seek **

$100 deposit required for reservations on Pantera
*4 passengers or less is best for offshore fishing trips on Pantera. The boat can handle more, but it gets crowded fast when we're moving about in a fish fighting frenzy. This isn't as big of a deal for non-fishing adventures. When we do have larger groups, 2 bean bag chairs and a bench seat can be added for lounging comfort. Any groups larger than 4 will be charged $25 for each extra person. Please inquire about this and details will be explained.**

All trips on Pantera include fuel, captain, boat, equipment and coolers with ice. Trips do NOT include food and booze, but we're happy to make recommendations for this. In Bocas Town, some great options for to go lunches are Super Gourmet and  JJ's at Bocas Blended for breakfast AND lunch.

*Your safety is priority number one. The Captain reserves the right to cancel within 24 hours due to weather and sea conditions (and we'll refund your deposit). If the captain determines the conditions are safe and you decide to cancel within 5 days, you'll loose your deposit.

POPULAR PRE-PLANNED ROUTES:

1:  Pelagic Mini-Session 5 hours - $590:  Fish Kusapin Bank for Tuna, Wahoo and other pelagic species along with snapper, grouper, etc down deeper with a mix mostly of trolling and jigging techniques. This is the shortest possible duration to get out there and catch quality fish. *This includes about 3hrs of actual fishing time plus the cruise out/back.

2:  Strike Mission 6 hours - $665:  Fish Kusapin Bank AND The Pocket with the same style as the previous route. This route opens up a bit more time to find the fish and cover slightly more ground. *This includes about 4hrs of actual fishing time plus the cruise out/back.

3:  Pelagic Pursuit 7 hours - $740:  Fish Kusapin Bank AND Tobobe Bank with the same style as previous routes, but includes the opportunity to fish multiple banks. This offers the big advantage of being able to thoroughly scour the nearshore banks area with sufficient time to find the trophy fish. The bigger pelagic species tend to move from day to day. If we don’t find them on Kusapin Bank or The Pocket, we’ll likely find them on Tobobe Bank or in canyons between them. *This includes about 5hrs of actual fishing time plus the cruise out/back.

4:  Blue Water Assault 8 hours - $815:  Fish the offshore weed-line AND the banks. We cruise 15-30nm offshore, out of sight of land in the cleanest deep blue water around where there’s usually a massive distinct weed-line kicked up from the SW Caribbean counter current, loaded with life underneath including everything from mahi to triple tail, wahoo, jacks, etc. Techniques are a mix of trolling, live/dead bait, jigging and casting poppers. On the cruise out/back we'll be using radar, binocs and eyeballs to search for diving birds on bait balls. If we find one, there will likely be tuna and possible billfish. This option can ONLY be done when the forecast is more favorable (calm seas & wind) and the current's gyro is well formed. We’ll also hit Kusapin Bank on the way out or back, with the timing depending on tides and moon phase. This route offers more diversity in fishing style & location, as well as variety of species. *This includes 5-5.5hrs of actual fishing time plus cruise time to/from/between spots.

5:  Inshore Tarpon mini-session 4hrs - $515:  First stop is to catch live bait about 35min into the trip, then we'll cruise to some calm water back bays to search for Tarpon. Different schools will rise to the surface for just a moment before disappearing below. Constantly on the move, this run & gun style fishing can be very exciting. The resident inshore Tarpon are typically smaller than their pelagic cousins at the river mouths (<75lbs vs 150lbs+), but can sometimes be found in greater numbers. Tarpon fishing trips are done early AM only. *This route includes about 2hrs of time fishing for tarpon, plus bait fishing and cruise to/from the spots.

6:  Tarpon at the River 5hrs - $590:  First stop is to catch live bait about 35min into the trip, then we'll cruise to Changuinola River mouth where the bigger pelagic Tarpon can be found. We'll be drift fishing in the ocean just outside the breaking waves with a mix of live bait and casting soft plastics. Tarpon fishing trips are done early AM only. After fishing, we'll also have the opportunity to enter the river where a beautiful wildlife cruise can be incorporated. Sightings of crocodiles, manatees, sloths, monkeys and incredible birding opportunities can be found during this exotic cruise through a protected jungle canal cutting back into the archipelago. *This route includes about 2.5hrs of time fishing for tarpon, plus bait fishing and cruise to/from the spots.

7:  Tarpon Double 7hr - $740:  This route covers 2 different Tarpon areas using similar techniques as the other Tarpon trips. We'll combine EITHER the back-bays and Changuinola River, OR... Changuinola and Sixaola Rivers (border of C.R.).
